Sadie Tuescher
Owner and Independent Broker

Sadie is an independent health insurance broker located in Southeastern Wisconsin (near Milwaukee and Waukesha). In late 2014, she decided to resign her official government post and go into business for myself in order to help people directly with health insurance advocacy. Wisconsin Health Insurance Advocate, LLC was established in 2015 to provide assistance and advice to individuals, families, and businesses with their health insurance needs.

Since 2010,  Sadie has worked in the field of non-profit and government as an Elder and then Disability Benefit Specialist. In these positions, she helped seniors and people with disabilities in the Milwaukee area understand how health insurance works. Sadie has extensive professional knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act.  As a benefit specialist, she helped thousands of people with billing and claims problems, with figuring out how to get insurance, and understanding their benefits.

Mission and Goals

Providing unbiased and trustworthy advice is of utmost importance to me. As an individual broker, I work for the client (you!) to help you find the insurance plan for your needs.

This website is devoted solely to education, but on the home page there is a link to a comparison tool if you're looking to shop for insurance on your own. If you provide your phone number or email I may reach out to you personally to see if I can be of any further help.  Your information is protected and no one from a call center will ever call you if you use my site.

Why use a broker ?

While insurance plans now generally have similar benefits, thanks to the Affordable Care Act, plans vary in price, network providers, deductibles/copays/coinsurance, and covered prescriptions. Thus, the plan that might work great for your neighbor might not be the plan for you.  My job is to understand the differences between the plans and give you advice and guidance, and take care of the paperwork. I specialize in small businesses and non-profits, as well as individuals and families. These services are completely no-cost to the client, and you won't pay any more for insurance by utilizing an agent (or any less for going it alone). Independent brokers are paid by insurance companies when they sell a plan. That's why I am contracted with as many carriers as possible so I can give you unbiased advice.

Have you ever gotten a bill from a doctor that surprised you and you want to fight it? I have years of billing advocacy experience and love helping people fight unjust bills.  I charge a reasonable fee based on the facts of each case, and can offer lower-cost consulting services if you would like to fight the bill on your own but need a step by step guide on where to start. Each situation is different. Contact me for a consultation and more information.

Please contact me with questions. Be sure to include your email address or phone number if you would like a response back, otherwise I have no way of replying.
